We are looking an Analyst to add to our Test Article Department. Analysts are responsible for the performing analysis in accordance with analytical methods and for maintaining the study binder and QC of analytical data. Responsible for conducting validation studies based on provided analytical methods and maintaining the study binder and QC of validation data with supervision.
Responsibilities
• Understands and practices Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
• Prepares reagents and standards for analysis
• Understands and can implement analytical methods according to applicable GLP regulations and SOP's
• Validates Analytical Methods for concentration determination used for analysis of test article formulations using LC or UV-VIS methods under the direction of the Scientist
• Performs analysis on study samples
• Maintains and organizes study binders
• Responsible for data quality control (QC) as appropriate
• Ensure analytical standards or reference materials are handled and stored in an acceptable manner
• Attends protocol review meetings as appropriate
• Ensures appropriate maintenance of equipment

Job Requirements


Qualifications:
• BS in a scientific discipline preferably chemistry, analytical chemistry or pharmaceutical science
• Some previous lab experience performing UV and LC analysis is preferred but not required
• Good understanding of use of pipettes and basic lab equipment is required
• Experience conduction analysis in a GLP/GMP regulated environment a plus
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and database programs. Knowledge of the analytical instrumentation software (for example, Empower, Analyst, Chemsoft or Chemstation) is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals and Protocols. Ability to instruct others on day to day activities
• Extensive knowledge of basic math skills.
• Continual GLP Training and analytical training.
• Solid reasoning ability
